Celebrate 5 years of impact with Watermark cdc
Over the last two Sundays, our church family and close partner, Watermark Community Church, gathered in both Dallas and South Dallas to celebrate five years of God’s faithfulness through Watermark Community Development Corporation.
During each service, time was set aside to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the transformation taking place across our city. We also highlighted the mission to transform our city’s economic welfare, shared stories of transformation, and recognized how God has worked in and through Watermark CDC across our city.
Our team joined pastors Timothy (TA) Ateek and Marvin Walker on stage to reflect on the journey, honor all that God has done, and educate the church on the impact of Watermark CDC.
Volunteers, partners, and staff gathered together in gratitude, marking a milestone that represents shared faith and responsibilities.
TA shared: “They [Watermark CDC] are turning more people away than they are able to serve right now, and we can do something about that. The other thing to know is 90% of their funding comes from individuals just like you who God has called to give."
TA continued, “So we invite you to do one simple thing:
Ask the Lord if He would have you release funds to invest in this work.”
Right now, Watermark CDC is turning more people away than we can serve, with some initiatives experiencing demand that is 4 to 5 times greater than our current capacity.
Every gift helps create new pathways to opportunity and long-term stability for neighbors in our city - from $25 to buy a curriculum book to remind a neighbor of their purpose, to $7,500 to support a transformational asset purchase like a car or home.
As we celebrate what God has done over the past five years, we invite you to be part of what He is continuing to do. Your generosity helps create new pathways to opportunity and long-term stability for neighbors across our city.
