Lydia Broadus

Job Connection Program Associate

Hey friends, I’m Lydia! I am a native of Columbia, Missouri, home of the Missouri Tigers, “M-I-Z”- “Z-O-U.” I made my way to Dallas, TX in August of 2022 after graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work and being accepted into the Watermark Institute!

I accepted Christ as my savior when I was ten years old, and luckily the Lord has never stopped working on my heart since then. He consistently teaches me my need for a savior daily and hears me when I call out to him. He delights to know and love me, and His righteousness is accredited to me when I put my faith in Jesus and his death on the cross to pay for my sins.

I work with Watermark CDC’s Job Connection Program. I am passionate about impacting the cycle of poverty, societal injustice/barriers, the gospel, and understanding how to serve best those impacted by these things. In my free time, you can find me hammocking, swimming, scouting out new restaurants, watching documentaries, laughing, and spending time with my people!

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already - you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.”
